Alonso defeats Checo Pérez in the battle for third place in the Brazilian GP

RÍO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL.- Fernando Alonso and Sergio Checo Pérez starred in a spectacular finish to the race in the battle for third place in the Brazilian Grand Prix, a competition won by Max Verstappen.

Both drivers had a spectacular performance throughout the race, and in the final laps Checo Pérez managed to overtake Fernando Alonso, when the race entered its decisive point, with one lap ahead Checo managed to take the lead, but Fernando Alonso reacted to surpass the Mexican.

In the final lap Alonso tried to defend himself by all means and he was succeeding when in the final stretch Checo threw himself into everything and by hundredths of a second the Spaniard managed to take third place.

Despite everything, the race was not bad for Checo, who increased his advantage in the battle for runner-up over Lewis Hamilton.

The competition was won by Max Verstappen, who after a good start managed to gain distance over Lando Norris, who also had a good competition, finishing in second place.

The next competition will be the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be held for the first time on November 19, an event that is one of the most anticipated of the championship.

The final great contest will be the runner-up, in which Checo Pérez seems to have an advantage over Hamilton at the close of the 2023 campaign.
