Ancelotti explains the reasons why he will not coach Brazil national team

MADRID, SPAIN – Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference about the reasons why he decided to renew his contract with Real Madrid and reject the offer he had to coach the Brazilian National Team.

Ancelotti was very happy to remain with Real Madrid, as he said it was what he wanted, however he also had words of gratitude for the directors in Brazil and assured that the departure of Edinaldo Rodriguez as president of the Brazilian Football Confederation was another reason for not giving him the opportunity to take over the Brazilian national team.

Ancelotti rules out signing a central defender

Ancelotti also spoke about how the process was to achieve the renewal and whether or not one more central defender will arrive to the team, after the recent injuries.

“I think it has been a fairly straightforward renewal, we have not just agreed it between the two of us, no problem, without a doubt they have had a very quick renewal and I repeat what I said the other day, very happy, very happy to continue another two years as Real Madrid coach.”
“At this moment we are not contemplating signing another center back eh because we think that obviously we are missing two center backs, it is very important, but I think we have two others in which we trust, eh a lot which are Nacho and Rudiger, others who in the emergency can do well which are Tchouaméni who can be Carvajal who has already done so then at this moment we are not contemplating signing”, he said.
