FIFA confirms London as venue for The Best Award

On Monday, January 15, the city of London will witness the eighth edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards, an event that celebrates the highlights of the soccer world. Recognizing players, coaches, fans and iconic moments in the sport, this ceremony has become a milestone in the soccer calendar.

London, a city deeply passionate about soccer and which has already successfully hosted the 2016 and 2017 editions, will welcome for the third time this gala that brings together the elite of world soccer.

The finalists, announced last September, were selected through a rigorous process involving an international jury made up of coaches, national team captains, specialized journalists and a global fan vote that reached an impressive 1 million participants.

The upcoming announcement of the finalists in the main categories will generate even more excitement among fans of the beautiful game.

During the ceremony, eleven coveted awards will be presented, including recognitions for the best player, women’s and men’s soccer coaches, as well as the Puskás award for the best goal of the year, among other awards that celebrate the greatness and passion that surrounds soccer.

With an equal representation of votes from different sectors of soccer, these awards represent the global sentiment of the soccer community. The evening promises to be a celebration of achievement, talent and unforgettable moments that have marked the soccer season.

The soccer world is excitedly awaiting the arrival of this event that celebrates the best of the most exciting sport on the planet.
