FIFA Unveils the Emblem and Official Song for the 2025 Club World Cup

FIFA has unveiled the emblem for the inaugural edition of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, a historic competition that will feature 32 teams from around the world. This tournament, the most inclusive in the history of club football, will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

An Emblem Inspired by Football’s History and Culture

The new FIFA Club World Cup emblem is inspired by the essence of football, with a design that incorporates balls, history, and culture. The emblem features the initials “C-W-C” (Club World Cup) in a circular icon, with a central space dedicated to including the names of the participating clubs from the six confederations competing in the tournament. This emblem will be used in all future editions of the tournament, marking the beginning of a new era in club football.

An Iconic Song for the Tournament

FIFA also announced that the theme “Freed from Desire” by Italian singer Gala, which has become an anthem in the football world, will be the official song of the tournament. This choice highlights the deep connection between football and global culture, symbolizing a new stage in the sport’s evolution.

“Show the World Your Passion” Campaign

In parallel, FIFA has launched the “Show the World Your Passion” campaign, inviting fans to showcase what makes their clubs special. This campaign aims to have supporters express their love and enthusiasm for their colors, showing the world the passion that defines them.

A Tournament to Crown the True World Champion

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ will feature teams from the six confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), Concacaf (North, Central America, and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe). This tournament redefines how, when, and where the true world club champion will be crowned, offering a platform for the best teams on the planet to face off on a global stage.

Qualification Process and Participating Teams

To date, 30 of the 32 participating teams have secured their place in the tournament. The final spots will be filled by a team from CONMEBOL and the host nation, the United States. The qualification process has been conducted through continental club competitions, rewarding champions and those who have demonstrated consistency and regularity over a four-year cycle.

Statements from FIFA President

FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the importance of this moment for club football:

“This is a very special moment. Today we unveil the brand of the new FIFA Club World Cup, which will begin a new era for club football. The teams are the foundation of the competition. We are eager to see 32 of the best clubs in the world in the United States in June and July 2025. Only one of them will be crowned champion.”

Infantino also invited fans to show their passion:

“We want fans from around the world to express the love and excitement they feel for their colors and to show the world what their club is made of and the passion it inspires.”

A Tournament Highlighting Traditions and History

FIFA will work closely with the qualified clubs to highlight and showcase their unique characteristics and traditions. This approach aims to remove international barriers and give clubs the opportunity to tell their stories to the world, reaffirming the unifying power of football on the global stage.

With the launch of its official emblem and song, and the campaign to engage fans, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ is set to be a transformative event that will leave a lasting mark on the history of football.
