Inter Miami CF announces international tour to Hong Kong

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Inter Miami CF announced today that it will travel to Asia in February of next year for its first international tour. The team will play a friendly in Hong Kong, facing Team Hong Kong, as part of the tour.

“We are thrilled to be visiting Hong Kong and Asia for the first time,” said Jorge Mas, managing owner of Inter Miami CF. “From the beginning we set out to be a global club at Inter Miami. This is a wonderful opportunity to do just that; we hope to excite and inspire new Inter Miami fans in Hong Kong and throughout Asia who share our passion for soccer.”

“Hong Kong is a beautiful city with a great sporting culture,” added Inter Miami CF co-owner David Beckham. “Throughout my career I spent a lot of time in Asia; I am pleased to have the opportunity to bring Inter Miami to play our first match of our tour in this fantastic city.”

Inter Miami will visit Hong Kong, where it will face the Hong Kong team, which will be made up of the best players of the Hong Kong Premier League. The match will be played at the 40,000-seat Hong Kong Stadium on Saturday, February 4.

It will be Inter Miami’s first international tour

“I spent several years living and working in Hong Kong, so I know its incredible culture and great passion for soccer. We are excited to bring Inter Miami to play in front of these fans who might not otherwise be able to see us in person,” explained Inter Miami CF CBO Xavier Asensi.

“We see this tour as a special experience for our Club and also as an important opportunity to prepare the team in the best possible way for the 2024 season. This match will give our players the opportunity to face new opponents on the field and compete in new environments,” said Chris Henderson, CSO and sporting director of Inter Miami CF.

Tickets for the match will go on sale Friday, December 15 exclusively through Klook, the ticket partner for the event. Tickets will also be available for an open house training session on Friday, February 3 at Hong Kong Stadium.

Additional match information, including broadcast information and kickoff times, will be announced at a later date. Additional games and destinations for the 2024 preseason will be announced in the coming weeks.
