Messi is received as a hero at Inter Miami after winning his eighth Ballon d’Or

MIAMI.- Leo Messi returned to Miami after a lightning trip to Paris, to be present at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony.

The Argentine won for the eighth time the award given by Frace Football magazine to the best player in the world, but Messi did not spend much longer in France, as he immediately took a jet that brought him and his family back to Miami, his new home.

A few hours had passed since the ceremony, when the number 10 of the Argentine National Team was already training under the orders of Gerardo “Tata” Martino.

His teammates and the club did not miss the opportunity to recognize the moment that Messi is experiencing and prepared a small ceremony for him, in which several players took the floor to congratulate the Argentine, in particular Gregore, who was in charge of congratulating on behalf of the rest to Messi.

“You deserve it, you are the best, it is a fair reward for everything you have done for football,” said the Brazilian player. With a cardboard figure eight and a festive atmosphere, the players gave a pass to Messi who just smiled and enjoyed the moment, goalkeeper Callender also congratulated him and they both melted into a hug.

Inter Miami will play two friendly matches in China, which will also help Messi not lose pace heading into the next qualifying round with the Argentine National Team.

After that, Messi will have almost two months of rest before starting the preseason towards the 2024 MLS campaign.
