Mexico to Face Colombia in the Final Match of the First Round of the U-20 World Cup

Bogotá, Colombia – The Mexico Women’s National U-20 Team secured its first victory in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup by defeating Australia 2-0 in their second match of the 2024 World Cup in Colombia. The game took place at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, where Ana Galindo’s squad earned three crucial points to stay in the fight for a spot in the next round.

Tricolor Dominance

Mexico dominated much of the match, showcasing their superiority on the scoreboard thanks to goals from Fátima Servín and Alejandra Lomelí. This result puts the Mexico Women’s U-20 National Team as the provisional leader of Group A with four points, giving them a significant advantage heading into their final group stage match.
